Orange Zest Cranberries

Serves 10


  • 24 ounces fresh cranberries
  • ¾ to 1 cup water
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest


  1. Place cranberries in a pot with the water and orange juice and bring to a boil
  2. Cook until the skins burst, about 10 minutes
  3. Add the sugar and the orange zest and return to a boil, then simmer the berries until the proper jelly-like consistency is achieved


  • If it doesn’t seem like there is enough liquid for the cranberries, add more water as they cook
